Carla Duncan is the owner and head designer of On Occasions of Atlanta. A proud Atlanta native, Carla attended Northside School of the Performing Arts in Buckhead before graduating from Emory University, where she received her B.A. in English. A few years later, she graduated from the State University of West Georgia, where she earned her M.Ed. in Secondary Education. Carla worked as a middle school English teacher and school system curriculum specialist before joining the Georgia Department of Education as the state-wide textbook specialist. During the latter part of her 12-year career in the field of education, Carla transformed her much-loved hobby of floral and interior design into a blossoming business.

On Occasions of Atlanta--a service-oriented, client-focused design studio that has received numerous accolades and awards and whose designs have been featured in local and national magazines--was launched with the firm belief that flowers enhance one's environment by energizing the soul and reviving the senses.
